Back to School for 2018-2019
We're looking forward to another wonderful school year in Wicomico County Public Schools in 2018-2019! Back-to-school information for Wicomico students and schools will be posted here as it becomes available.

Schools will mail welcome letters on Friday, Aug. 17.

The 2018-2019 school year will begin Tuesday, Sept. 4 for most students of Wicomico County Public Schools.

Students in grades 1-6 and grade 9 will attend school on Sept. 4. (Exceptions: All grades will attend at Pittsville Elementary and Middle, and only grade 6 will attend at Mardela Middle and High.)

All students in grades 1-12 will be in school Wednesday, Sept. 5. During the first week, kindergarten and prekindergarten students will report as scheduled by the assigned school.

Department of Student and Family Services Offers Extended Summer Service Hours

Wicomico families can take advantage of extended evening and weekend hours to visit the Department of Student and Family Services for important paperwork this summer.

The Department of Student and Family Services will offer extended summer hours in July and August for the following services: ELL (English Language Learner) enrollment, Families in Transition, and Residency Statements.

In addition to being open from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. every weekday this summer (except June 26 and July 4), Student and Family Services will be open from 4:30-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays from July 10 through Aug. 30. Families may also visit Student and Family Services from 9 a.m.-noon on these Saturdays: July 14, July 28, Aug. 11 and Aug. 25. This is a walk-in service and no appointment is needed.
