Opportunities for Input to the Board of Education

The next monthly Board of Education meeting is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 8. The meeting will be held in the Board of Education Auditorium, Mt. Hermon Road and Long Avenue, Salisbury. The agenda will be posted by Friday before the meeting at http://www.boarddocs.com/mabe/wcboe/Board.nsf/Public.

The meeting will be livestreamed and will be viewable after the meeting, indexed to the agenda: https://www.wcboe.org/leadership/board_of_education/watch_board_meetings. Most Board meetings also air on PAC 14.

Public comment is welcome at every monthly Board meeting. Please sign in, fill out a Public Comment form, and return it at the front desk prior to the start of the meeting.

Approved on 1st reading by the Board at its July 11 meeting, on the recommendation of the Curriculum Council. These books are now available for public review and comment prior to a final vote at the Aug. 8 Board meeting:

-The supplemental novel The Crossover, for students in middle school English Language Arts classes.
-The supplemental novel Project 1065, for students in middle school English Language Arts classes.
-The supplemental novel Once, for students in middle school English Language Arts classes.
