Virtual Library Card
Wicomico Public Libraries, in partnership with Wicomico County Public Schools, is excited to introduce the new Student Virtual Library Card. All students in grades 1-12 in Wicomico County Public Schools now have access to the information and services offered at Wicomico Public Libraries.

The Student Virtual Library Card works just like a regular library card when it comes to checking out materials, but no actual card will be needed for students to instantly access eBooks, audio books, digital magazines, digital movies and music using the online Library. Students can check out up to 5 print materials, use any computer at the Library, access online courses such as Rosetta Stone, BookFLIX, TumbleBooks as well as professional databases for homework help such as Explora and Testing & Education Reference Center. This guarantees library access for more than 13,000 WCPS students.

A trip to any branch of the Wicomico Public Libraries, including the Bookmobile and online access, no longer requires that students use a plastic card to check out books, reserve materials or access Library resources. When checking out a book from the Library, the student only needs to tell the staff member they are a Wicomico County Public School student and give them their virtual Library card number (WCPS plus the student’s meal number, e.g. WCPS12345).  All accounts are fine-free. The partnership between Wicomico Public Libraries and Wicomico County Public Schools is removing barriers so that students can benefit from all the resources the public library has to offer.

Branches of the Wicomico Public Libraries are located in Downtown Salisbury, the Centre at Salisbury, in Pittsville, and the Bookmobile. The Library is a great investment and strives to create an accessible, welcoming space where the community can discover new ideas and connect with one another. Wicomico Public Libraries offer numerous resources such as free Internet access, a variety of classes and events, and an online Digital Library. Your Library supports learning, economic development, and community engagement.  You Belong @ Wicomico Public Libraries!
